The 18-hole Stone Canyon Golf Club will serve as the centerpiece of a 300 acre development project in eastern Independence, Missouri and will become the environmental model for landfill reclamation. The layout traverses rolling and rugged terrain while affording golfers several spectacular vistas of Kansas City to the east.

The layout at Stone Canyon will provide members and their guests with a truly memorable golf challenge with Norman’s signature design traits that include closely mown green surrounds, creative bunkering and landscape accents that pay homage to some of the great courses in the world. The site itself is quite dramatic with interesting rock outcroppings, rolling topography and dramatic long views towards downtown Kansas City to the west.

Stone Canyon Golf Club was introduced to the greater Kansas City metropolitan area in May 2009 and continues to grow the number of members who call it their course home.  The course is currently operating as a semi-private facility as we continue to add members.  With every week we continue to grow closer to being a fully private course.   We have created the exciting new  Foundation Club that will allow individuals, families and corporations to start their memberships in this prestigious new private club, and receive additional benefits in the meantime as we continue to offer tee times open to the public. Becoming a Stone Canyon Foundation Member requires no deposit and low monthly dues for unlimited golf, practice range, and discounts in the pro shop.
